The Region of Peel, with its contractor, will be working in the Lisgar and Churchill Meadows communities likely beginning before the end of the year and into the first quarter of 2025. The works are associated with existing maintenance holes (manholes) located along the roadways as well as sanitary sewer lining and rehabilitation at various intersections and along the Lisgar Meadowbrook Trail near Osprey Marsh.
The road work along Ninth Line will be completed in stages as follows:
- Stage 1—Parkgate Drive and Freeman Terrace (duration is three weeks).
- Stage 2—Tacc Drive (duration is three days).
- Stage 3—Deepwood Heights, Talias Crescent, Janice Drive, and Henrietta Way (duration is two weeks and three days).
One lane per direction will remain open along Ninth Line during the closures.
Temporary trail closures will be required along Lisgar Meadowbrook Trail as a result of construction. The section of trail on the south side of Osprey Marsh and the easterly portion from Osprey Blvd to Britannia Road is anticipated to be closed for 2-3 months this winter.
