Project Update! (as of April 11, 2025)
Peel Region is working along Ninth Line in Ward 10 to rehabilitate the existing sanitary sewer system and maintenance holes (commonly called manholes). Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home to a water resource recovery facility. To extend the service life of the sewer under these streets, Peel Region’s contractors will clean the existing sewer pipe and place a new resin (plastic) lining within it. This work will be completed underground with specialized
equipment and will not require digging trenches in your neighbourhood.
Construction schedule
Construction on Ninth Line is planned to begin in March 2025 and will be completed in early 2026. During this time, contractors may be working near your home or business for a few weeks.
This project will require the closure of some roads and intersections for varying amounts of time between March 20, 2025 and the end of May 2025. This project could also result in temporary wastewater service interruptions.

Temporary Road closures on Ninth Line at the following locations have been updated as follows:
April 21 to April 23, 2025
• Tacc Drive will be closed to all through traffic at Ninth Line.
April 23 to May 16, 2025
- Deepwood Heights will be closed to all through traffic at Ninth Line.
- Talias Crescent will be closed to all through traffic from 3859 Talias to 3883 Talias. Residents who live on Talias Crescent will have access to their homes.
- Janice Drive will be closed to all through traffic at Ninth Line.
- Henrietta Way will be closed to all through traffic at Ninth Line.
May 16, 2025
• Tacc Drive will be closed to all through traffic at Ninth Line. A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs.
