Construction work on the two new pedestrian crossovers in Ward 10 is almost complete. This will serve as further protection for pedestrians and cyclists who use the multi use trails along Lacman Trail / Jorie Crescent (Churchill Meadows Boulevard crossing) and Lisgar Meadowbrook Trail (Osprey Boulevard crossing). As this is relatively new road safety infrastructure that may not be familiar to many, the City will be distributing a postcard (pictured below) to area residents on how to properly use the crossover both from a motorist and pedestrian perspective. As always, keep your head up and never assume anything, regardless as to who might have the right of way.
