I am very happy to share that the Leash Free area at Mattamy Sports Park will open to the public this month! This facility will feature two separate areas—one for small dogs and one for larger dogs—where your furry friends can run and play off-leash.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
I invite all dogs and their owners to come celebrate this exciting new amenity in our community with a small ceremony and ribbon-cutting on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 am. We’ll gather at the main gate to the dog park which is near the transit loop at the south end of the property at Churchill Meadows Community Centre, 5320 Ninth Line.
Prizes and treat bags will be available (limited supply) courtesy of Global Pet Foods (located at Meadowvale Town Centre) and free coffee is available for the dog owners, compliments of Starbucks, 3030 Thomas St. location. As well, my team will be handing out $20 off coupons for the “Club” steering lock for those interested in enhancing their auto theft prevention measures.
